„The style and character of these invented songs are reflected not only in the very graceful and souful sound of the vocal part (provided in our case by Martina Sehylová with a remarkable color in her voice), but also in a demanding piano part requiring expressive approach (provided on this record by the renowned interpreter Norbert Heller).“

Melodrama had again a celebration
„Beethoven’s music lures with its energetic power when it is performed with great enthusiasm, and that was given to her by the North Bohemian Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Jiří Petrdlík; At the beginning of the evening, he gained an exceptional atmosphere. Jaromír Meduna accompanied the music as a narrator, describing the content of the individual acts, and also presented Egmont’s monologue, which Goethe already wanted to support with music, and Martina Sehylová sang both Clara songs. However, the power of the overture experience was not overshadowed.“Jaroslav Someš

„(… ) Two outstanding soloists, soprano Martina Sehylová and organ virtuoso Pavel Kohout, introduced the delighted audience to well-known and lesser-known compositions from the 17th to 19th centuries. An aria followed: Wie lieblich ist der Boten Schritt from Georg Friedrich Händel and a passionately performed Panis Angelicus from César Franck. (…) followed by three brialliantly sung Biblical Songs. (…) Other masterfully performed pieces from Giulio Caccini – Ave Maria, James Montgomery – Angels from the realus of glory, and Adolphe-Charlese Adama – Noël just confirmed the contemplative joyfulness of the program, which concluded with Adeste fideles. (…) Following the final applause, the artists performed an encore of well-known carols.“

„Two vocal compositions from W. A. Mozart followed, of which the aria of Zerlina in Don Giovanni was performed very well by Martina Sehylová. This congenial artist is a graduate of the Prague Conservatory and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, Italy.“

„Unbelievable. She sang the scales without missing a note. The intertwining of voices was absolutely stunning. They need a separate prize to capture their uniqueness; a maximum number of votes isn’t enough.“
These comments were made during the fourth Festival sotto le stelle in San Giovanni in Marignano. (…) Marco Trivilino and Martina Sehylová sang “Barcelona”, and won the prize for best Song Arrangement. The audience rewarded them with extraordinary applause. Afterwards, the jury had many beautiful words for the performers.
